Dr. Kaitlyn Phillips grew up in Springboro, but spent many weekends just outside of Hillsboro, in Marshall on the family farm. When it was time to make a decision on where to establish her practice it was an easy one. She wanted to return to the country where she felt most at home, so when the New Market practice became available, it was no surprise she fell in love with the location and community.
Upon completion of her dental degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry she established Boro Dentistry in recognition of the two Boros she called home.
Dr. Phillips has been proudly serving this community since opening her doors in 2022 and runs her business with the same laid back and welcoming country atmosphere that makes this area so wonderful. Dr. Phillips knows every patient’s wants and needs are different and getting to know the patient on a personal level is the best way to address them. Dr. Phillips enjoys seeing patients of all ages and is committed to providing quality dental care and education so her patients can maintain beautiful smiles for a lifetime.
Kaitlyn’s father, Mark Phillips, was born and raised in Hillsboro and worked with Dr. Hughes, the original owner of New Market Family Dentistry, in 1992. Kaitlyn is also related to the Smiths, Williamsons, Flings and Walkers who have been in the area for generations and her great aunt Betty Saum was a teacher in the old New Market School.
Kaitlyn is married to her high school sweetheart Garrett Ross who is a valued partner in making Boro Dentistry a success. He is currently employed at the Hillsboro Middle School shaping the future minds of the New Market and Hillsboro area. Together, Kaitlyn and Garrett have a wide variety of interests, most notably saltwater corals which they grow and sell in their free time. They wanted to bring this enjoyment to the community which is why when you step through the front door at Boro Dentistry you will be greeted by a saltwater fish tank!
Dr. Phillips is so fortunate to have Cheryl Walker as a trusted and dedicated employee. With her wealth of experience in the dental field she keeps the heartbeat of the office going. She will be the first friendly voice you hear on the phone and the first friendly face you see when you walk through the door.
Cheryl grew up several houses down from Boro Dentistry and has been a lifelong resident of New Market. She graduated from Hillsboro High School and married her husband Dale. They have 3 grown sons and 5 wonderful grandchildren. Cheryl really enjoys gardening, decorating, watching football and spending time with her family. She is an enthusiastic member of the Boro Dentistry team and loves helping to serve her community.
