Insurance Information

We understand the value of your insurance benefits and we will assist you in obtaining your maximum allowable coverage. We will process your claim and estimate your co-payment. Your co-payment is due at the time of service. If the final payment from your insurance is different from our original estimate, we will either credit your account or send you a bill for the amount due.

Please remember that the final reimbursement by the insurance company is determined via contractual arrangement between the insurance carrier and your employer. Your employer has purchased a specific benefit plan from many dozens or hundreds of possible combinations. Your company will decide your benefits based on what will fit within their budget. We have no control over any aspect of this arrangement. Thus our estimates can be inaccurate.

Financial Policy

We accept cash, check, debit or credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, CareCredit).

If you receive a check from your dental insurance in the mail you are expected to mail it to our office or drop it off, otherwise you will be billed the balance.

FAQs

Do you accept my insurance?

Our office works with hundreds of insurance companies. We currently accept all private insurance plans that do not require you to select a specific dentist from a list or require our office to accept reduced fees for our services (for example: Medicare, Medicaid, Caresource, and HMO plans).

My insurance did not pay, why?

We base your portion on our most current data but there are many factors that can affect this estimate. For example, if you have seen a specialist, if you have an individual or family deductible that has not been met or insurance companies that do not notify us of changes to your benefits. Most insurances will base the amount of benefit on a chart of fees arbitrarily developed. For this reason you may receive a lower percentage of reimbursement from that which is indicated in your plan policy. For example, your plan says it will pay 80%, it may only reflect 80% of the fee arbitrarily determined by the insurance company, and not the actual fee charged by our office.

Will my insurance cover it?

The dental care that we recommend for you is based on what you want combined with our skill, care, and judgment. It is not based on your dental benefit coverage. We do not believe it is in your or our best interest to compromise treatment due to what your insurance is willing to pay. When we go over your treatment options we talk to you discussing the advantages and disadvantages of the proposed treatment. In other words, we involve you and not your insurance company in the decision making process.
